Denville Library Under Construction

@DenvilleLibrary

Library Building Closed,
Services Available at Denville Museum

2/9 Update: The Denville Library building will continue to be closed. Our original contractor encountered unexpected circumstances with regard to the subflooring and we agreed for our mutual convenience to terminate the agreement and that the Library would move forward with a different contractor. There’s also an issue of dust from the old flooring, which while not harmful, will need to be cleared as part of the overall project.

But we are **OPEN AT THE DENVILLE MUSEUM** (the white building across the parking lot from the library) with these services:

– Holds pickup when notified

– Limited browsing and checkout of a small collection

– Checkout of most items currently housed at the library as long as they are available and accessible. Just give us time to grab your items!

– Museum passes for Denville residents

– Reference assistance

– Events at Denville Town Hall (1 St. Mary’s Place)

– Craft kits for kids

– New library cards for Denville residents

– Return of library items

Please come visit us during our regular business hours! And thank you for your continued patience.

Fresh Eggs Can Be Frozen!

Remember how hard it was to find eggs or even afford eggs during COVID shutdown?

Now if you come across a great deal on eggs from a trusted source, you can stock up.

Raw, fresh eggs can be frozen for up to a year. But not in the eggshell. Use a standard ice tray. Each slot holds one full egg. Simply, add the raw egg to each slot. Sprinkle the tops of each container of egg with a pinch of salt. Cover with plastic wrap and put in the freezer on a flat surface.

Once frozen, transfer the frozen egg cubes to an air tight container or freezer bag and label them.

They defrost easily by taking out the amount of eggs needed by cube and putting them in a covered bowl in the refrigerator.

Mark and Mark January 12, 2024 0

Weird NJ Creators / Publishers / Authors Mark Sceurman and Mark Moran will helping Barnes & Noble celebrate the Grand Opening of their new store in Ledgewood, NJ on Wednesday, January 17th starting at 12:00 noon.

Drop by and say hello, hang out and swap some strange stories with Marks. Pick up a copy of the latest issue of the magazine, #61, or some of the recent back issues. Have your books and magazines signed (you can even bring yours from home if you’d like, we won’t tell the store managers!)

Until it closed a few years ago, the B&N store in Ledgewood was always a great  and supportive outlet of Weird NJ (as are all the B&N stores throughout NJ) and we’re very happy to see them open a brand new store at the same location where the old store used to be – conveniently located at Ledgewood Commons and easy to get to from Routes 80, 46 and 10. 461 State Route 10 Building B300, Ledgewood, NJ.
