Caribbean Taste at the 2017 International Food and Wine Festival

Disney World’s 2017 International Food and Wine Festival is set for it’s longest run, August 31 through November 13. It is a fantastic culinary experience with celebrity chefs, premium events, Eat to the Beat concerts, and more.

One of the popular culinary presentations that has been a presence at the Food and Wine Festival for years is the Islands of the Caribbean Booth. Some of their dishes they have featured include: Mojo Pork with Black Beans, Cilantro Rice and Pickled Red Onions, Jamaican Beef Patty, Pescado don Coco – Seared Grouper, Pigeon Peas, and Rice with Coconut Sauce, Quesito — Puff Pastry with Sweetened Cream Cheese and Guava Sauce, Frozen Mojitos, and Caribbean Sangria.

CaribbeanDays can reserve your resort stay now at one of Disney’s EPCOT located resorts that are within 5 minute walking distance to these activities: Yacht Club Resort, Beach Club Resort, or Boardwalk Inn.

The Cayman Cabana Oceanside RestoBar in the Cayman’s offers a Farm To Table experience with locally grown produce, meats and seafood. All produced by the local farmers and fishermen. Don’t forget to try the homemade mango salsa and rum barbecue sauce!

In Montserrat, we recommend the full local experience and sign up for the island’s lively rum shop tours. Comfortable vans travel around the island’s many small local eateries, rum shops and other watering holes. Guests than enjoy all the tastes of local food and play darts and dominoes alongside the island’s local residence, many of whom extend the party outdoors on Friday nights. Montserrat bars have no official closing time.
