MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ— A Morris Township Police Officer helped save the life of a resident during an overdose by using Narcan, police said.

Ptl. Diego Pinheiro recognized the signs of an overdose during a criminal investigation, police said. A woman was showing signs of respiratory distress, and Pinheiro administered Narcan to reverse the effects.
