The Denville Township Police Department will be conducting our fourth annual Citizens Police Academy beginning on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020. Areas of instruction will cover various topics routinely addressed by law enforcement, to include: criminal and constitutional law relating to arrest, search and seizure; patrol techniques; drug trends and the use of force. Classes will be formulated to incorporate an interactive format, providing participants with a “hands-on” experience whenever practical. It is our intention that the graduates of the Citizens Police Academy will gain an awareness and appreciation of the services provided by our police department and will become good will ambassadors for the law enforcement community as a whole.
