Major Denville Highway Intersection Project Information Center Set for July 18

Focus of Project is Convergence of Routes 80, 46 and 53 in Denville
The state Department of Transportation will hold a Public Information Center on Wednesday evening, July 18, in Denville to inform local residents, public officials and the business community about a planned Route 53, Route 46 and I-80 connected intersection improvement project in Denville planned to start in 2022.
The public meeting will be held at the Denville Municipal Building, 1 St. Mary’s Place, Denville, N.J. 07834 from 6-to-8 p.m.
Participants will have an opportunity to review exhibits of the proposed project, ask questions, and discuss any concerns with the NJ DOT staff.
According to NJ DOT, the proposed Route 46 eastbound, I-80 westbound, and Route 53 southbound upgrades will improve the safety and traffic flow at the busy convergence of the three roadways.
Preliminary engineering and final design is scheduled for 2019-2022, with construction anticipated to start in 2022.

Who are the The Morris Music Men??? They are an award-winning a cappella choral group made up of over 50 members ranging in age from 23 to 89, all with one thing in common: an irresistible urge to sing and “Make People Happy!” And they do! They are not only talented; but, are entertaining!
As Morris County’s representative in the Barbershop Harmony Society, The Morris Music Men are the fastest growing chapter in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The Morris Music Men have also been named the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Northeast Division AA Champions for 2017.
Members of The Morris Music Men will be at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD this weekend.

The Morris County Office of Emergency Management – Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is currently accepting applications for certified and experienced Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and/or Paramedics to join our EMS team.
The EMT/Paramedic will be responsible for leading, directing, and participating in the delivery of Basic Life Support (BLS) and working in partnership with Advanced Life Support (ALS) teams in a pre-hospital setting. Ideal candidates will remain calm under pressure, exercise good judgment, and make sound decisions while dealing with emergency situations.
Candidates should have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Candidates should have the ability to multi-task and have proficient keyboard entry skills. Bilingual applicants are highly desirable.
EMS selection process:
Note: Applicants who possess a higher level of certification such as Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic, or Mobile Intensive Care Registered Nurse Certification, issued by the New Jersey Department of Health, are considered to have met the EMT certification requirement listed above.
Position requires graduation from HS or equivalent, New Jersey residency, willingness to work shifts on a rotating basis including holidays and weekends, prior experience in 911 EMS response, and completion of a criminal background check. All candidates must successfully complete all aspects of the hiring process.
Starting salary is commensurate with experience and certifications within the range of $18.00 – $22.95 per hour.
