WORKERS ON THE FARM: 1900S IMMIGRATION EXPERIENCE

Experience a day in the life of Irish immigrant farm workers and house servants who worked for the Foster family during the 19th and 20th centuries. Take an exciting journey through history learning their unique stories, help with farm chores and spring cleaning duties, and enjoy Irish-American musical performances. Visit the farm animals, too. Join a special ceremony at 1 p.m. honoring the late workers who made significant contributions to the development of Fosterfields. Friends members are half price with a current membership card.

Snowshoe Sundays at Pyramid Mountain NHA

Ages 10 & Up.
Get outside and active this winter, and experience the unique and exhilarating sport of snowshoeing! Enjoy a guided trek exploring the beautiful winter scenery and looking for signs of wildlife – all while getting a great workout. No experience is necessary. Please call in advance regarding conditions.
If you already know how to snowshoe or want to venture out on your own, various sizes, including children’s, are available for one-day rental and use at Pyramid Mountain NHA. You must be 18 years or older to rent shoes, and a photo ID or rental deposit of $10/pair per day by cash is required. Shoes can be rented between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and must be returned by 4 pm the same day.

Picture This – Caption That! is our new, simple photo caption contest to inspire students in grades six through eight to think about science, energy conservation and environmental stewardship, while encouraging their artistic and communication skills.
We’ve timed our newest contest to end right before Earth Day 2019 … a great way to bring protecting the environment to the classroom.
We’ll select three winning entries. Here are the amazing prizes schools, students and teachers can win:
- $1,000 for winning student’s school
- $500 for winning student
- $100 for winning student’s teacher
By telling a visual story with fun and creative captions, students can demonstrate critical thinking and creative writing skills.

Food Trucks, Biergarten, and Live Bands!
Mark your calendars for an upcoming, one-of-a-kind spring outdoor festival, the Morris County Park Palozza, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, at Lewis Morris County Park.
Park Palooza will feature more than 20 food trucks, a biergarten (beer garden), live music, and games and activities for adults and children hosted by Jersey Club Sports. It is set to run from from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lewis Morris, which is located in Morris Township.
You’ll be able to grab a bite to eat from a variety of popular food trucks, throw back a few hand-crafted brews, wine or sangria; all while listening to one of the three featured bands. Pack a blanket and chairs, and enjoy live country to rock to classics music from The Nicco And Tommy Duo, The City Limit, and Jazmyn Adelle Trio.
Jersey Club Sports will offer games for adults and kids, such as “Giant Tic, Tac, Toe” and “Giant Jenga,” corn hole, hula hoop races, face painting, and plenty more.
Proceeds from this event, hosted by Garden State Food Truck Festival, will benefit the Morris County Park Commission.
Tickets can be purchased prior to the event at a discounted rate of $5 per adult and $2 per child at gardenstatefoodtruckfest.com. On the day of the event, the cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child.
There will be FREE parking, and admission allows for re-entrance throughout the day. All foods and beverages are sold separately.
