Sections of Route 10 to close for months

Excerpt:

Long-term construction and detours will begin on Route 10 Saturday night as the state Department of Transportation begins a project to replace the highway’s bridge over the Passaic River, connecting East Hanover with Livingston.

The project will affect bus routes as well, according to NJ Transit. Bus Routes No. 73 (Newark-Orange-Livingston Mall) and No. 872 (Morristown-Route 10-Livingston) will travel through detours, and riders will need to allow for extra travel time. Several bus stops will be closed.

On Wednesday, February 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA) will open its doors for a second tasting event featuring fine wines, gourmet cheeses, and decadent chocolates–all free, but you must bring at least one friend. (Sweethearts welcome.)
Click here to register right now!
GSWA’s first Water n’ Wine event, held in December, was loads of fun and a grand success, which prompted this encore event. We hope to make lots of new friends and spread the word about the good the organization does to protect the places we live, work, and play. We also are excited to report that any and all donations received at the event will be matched by an anonymous donor!
The evening’s fun doesn’t stop with the food and drink. GSWA’s Director of Water Quality Programs, Laura Kelm, will be on hand to entertain guests with a fun game about New Jersey’s Great Swamp waters. Prizes will be awarded!
This event will take place at GSWA’s headquarters located at 568 Tempe Wick Road in Morristown, New Jersey. Registration is required.
Register for Water, Wine, n' Chocolate on Feb. 19!
Register, get driving directions, or find additional event information online at GreatSwamp.org. To register by telephone, call (973) 538-3500 x22. Send email inquiries to events@greatswamp.org.
