Cruise Bermuda by CaribbeanDays – Disney Magic

Cruise Bermuda by CaribbeanDays – Disney Magic

New, This Fall aboard the Disney Magic – Cruise to Bermuda!

Off the east coast of the United States, Bermuda is 21 square miles of paradise on earth, imbued with its own eclectic culture and vibrant history. Here are five simple reasons this unrivaled island nation should be at the top of your travel bucket list…

1. Say it with me: Pink. Sand. Beaches.
Bermuda’s idyllic coastline offers countless made-for-Instagram beaches, but just wait until you sink your toes into the soft, luxurious pink sand along the island’s south shore at places like the famous Horseshoe Bay Beach.

2. Remarkable Reefs
Bermuda boasts numerous exquisite coral reefs in relatively shallow water with nearly unlimited visibility. If you’ve always wanted to try snorkeling, this is the place to do it.

3. Fairytale Ruins
The island’s famed Unfinished Church is well worth the uphill trek required to reach it. Construction of this gothic beauty was abandoned before the ceiling was built, leaving behind fanciful, open-air ruins seemingly straight out of a fairytale book.

4. Gorgeous Historical Gems
While ashore, you can wander the winding streets, gardens and plazas of the historic British settlement of St. George, marvel at the 17th-century beauty of St. Peter’s Church and stroll across the centuries-old Somerset Bridge, known as the world’s smallest drawbridge.

5. World-Class Shopping
The capital city of Hamilton is a shopping mecca, and throughout the island you can find designer brands, artwork, blown glass, locally produced handicrafts and… need I even say it? Bermuda shorts for the whole family!

I didn’t even mention the breathtaking boat rides, Royal Naval Dockyard or one-of-a-kind golf courses, but you’ll have plenty of time to experience it all when you sail to Bermuda aboard the Disney Magic this fall. Each itinerary includes at least two days docked at King’s Wharf, Bermuda, and the sailings also feature spooktacular Halloween on the High Seas events!

Meet Some Cast members from Disney’s Tri-Circle D Ranch!

Budding artist Evan P drew some of his favorite Disney Cast Members:

Maximus from “Tangled,” Philippe from “Beauty and the Beast,” and Khan from “Mulan”

And yes, they are not just cartoons; they are Disney Cast Members and reside at the Tri-Circle D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. YES! Disney has a working ranch! Tri-Circle-D Ranch is operated by Cast Members that belong to the Disney Animal Programs team.

The Tri-Circle-D Ranch is located in Fort Wilderness. Walt Disney loved horses and was an avid polo player. There is a room in the stables dedicated to Walt Disney’s love of horses with the history of the horses that appeared in Disney. A variety of breeds that live at the ranch include: Appaloosas, Arabians, Belgians, Clydesdales, American Paint Horses, Percherons, American Quarter Horses, and Shetland ponies. Take stable tours to meet the Cast Horses which include Angus from Brave and Maximus from Tangled. Other equine celebrities include the popular white “princess” ponies that pull Cinderella’s Coach during the enchanting wedding ceremonies, the majestic horses of Main Street, U.S.A., and the Headless Horseman’s horse that runs through the streets in Mickey’s Boo to You Parade during the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. And Cast Member Horses like Maximus, Philippe and Khan can not only be seen there; you can take them on a trail ride!

CaribbeanDays can book your stay and set up your experience at Disney’s Fort Wilderness!

Disney Legend Admiral Joe Fowler

Disney Legend, Joe the “Can do” guy Fowler (July 9, 1894 – December 6, 1993) attended the United States Naval Academy and was a graduate from M.I.T. with a master’s degree in naval architecture. He was a rear admiral of the United States Navy, who after his retirement had an important role in overseeing the construction of Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Joe Fowler was hired as a construction boss for Disneyland. After Disneyland was completed, Fowler stayed on as General Manager of the park for its first 10 years, and assisted with the construction of Walt Disney World. He retired from The Walt Disney Company in 1978 though he continued on as a consultant.

The dock for the two large ships in Disneyland’s Rivers of America, located across from The Haunted Mansion is named Fowler’s Harbor. One of the buildings is called “Fowler’s Inn”. In 1999, one of the ferries that crosses the Seven Seas Lagoon taking guests from the Ticket and Transportation Center to the Magic Kingdom was renamed Admiral Joe Fowler in his honor; it was originally known as the Magic Kingdom I.

Admiral Joe Fowler was without question, one of the most productive and knowledgeable men in Disney History.

Admiral Fowler, thank you for your service, thank you for the magic, and rest in peace.
