New trash collection company in Denville beginning 12-1. Have all trash at street no later than 6am on pick up days.

The Township of Denville has entered into a new contract for Trash Collection with Gaeta Recycling effective Monday, December 1, 2014. Trash pick up dates will not change for residents. However, all residents are encouraged to have their trash placed at the curb no later than 6 am on pick-up days. Since Gaeta is a new contractor, we are not certain what routes they will take to pick up. The trash contractor may not follow the same pick-up route as the previous contractor and may come earlier or later to your specific street.

If your trash is not picked up by 2p.m. on a scheduled pick-up date, you are asked to contact the Township at 973-625-8300, ext.274 and make them aware your house was missed. The contractor will then be directed to make the pick-up.

Although the township does not expect any major issues with this transition, we ask that everyone is patient for the first few weeks as the contractor becomes familiar with our roadways.

There will be no change in the recycling schedule. It shall remain unchanged with an every-other week pick-up.
For additional info on the change in Denville’s Residential Garbage Collector, you may visit the Township’s website at www.denvillenj.org

Denville Rotary Club – first of several Santa Land work crew events

https://www.facebook.com/denville.rotary

Today was the first of several Santa Land work crew events. The Gingerbread House donated to us by the Denville Beautification Committee, for permanent installation at Santa Land needs some work, actually a lot of work. Today’s crew included George Hrobuchak, Tom Mpakarakes, Tony Toriello, Bill Kader, Bill Roberts, Steve Shemonis and Rick Rafferty (not pictured). We need to weather/waterproof the structure, put on a new roof and secure the house. Many more work sessions needed!
